Myovision
- Spine Screening
Myovision is the brand name of
a surface electromyogram machine. It is a machine
that measures muscle activity by running a scanner
over the back of the spine. Myovision is considered
to be one of the best in the market and is gaining
popularity as a tool to show abnormal muscle pattern
behaviors in the spine

Myovision is useful in the following
conditions:
• Acute Back Pain
• Chronic Back Pain
• Whiplash
• Soft Tissue injury
• Cervical Spondylitis
• Sports Therapy
• Rehabilitation programs
• Posture related back problems
• Muscle spasms and contractures
Myovision gives graphically, the
improvement or deterioration of the back pain. And
what is wonderful about this is that the guest can
see these themselves – as the reports are visual.
By using this latest technology we can receive the
most accurate information on the condition of your
muscle to better help your needs.
The entire Myovision Examination
can be done in 10 – 20 minutes.
More about Myovision Examination
Myovision is computerized spinal examination which
uses Surface Electromyography (SEMG) to measure the
electrical activity of the muscles. Myovision has
been developed by David Marcarian, a NASA scientist
and is very similar to an ECG (which is done for the
heart).

The Myovision Surface EMG allows
the doctor to quickly assess the muscle-tension state
of the guest, without requiring exercise or strenuous
activity which may be harmful. The graphic readouts
are easy for both the doctor and guest to fully understand.
Tests of Myovision
The Myovision 8000 Static Surface EMG allows the doctor
to quickly assess the muscle-tension state of the
guest, without requiring exercise or strenuous activity
which may be harmful. The graphic readouts are easy
for both the doctor and guest to fully understand.

Thermoglide test
records approximately 16 temperature measurements
per inch scanned. The software then analyzes the actual
temperature from the readings and gives the asymmetry
in temperature readings which indicate an underlying
disorder. (5 Mins)
Range of Motion
gives the exact degree of movements possible. (5 Mins)
Dynamic Myovision
Test assesses the condition of the muscles during
Flexion and Rotation. (10 – 15 Mins)
How does Surface electromyography
work?
Surface Electromyograph (SEMG) measures the amount
of electrical activity your muscles release when they
are contracting. For example: When your spine misaligns
and rubs against the nerves, your muscles spasm in
order to stabilize the area of misalignment. Myovision
picks up this interference by reading the electrical
activity of the muscles and graphing the results according
to those readings. A report of the guest's back and
areas of concern is then printed and discussed to
further educate our guests on the cause of their condition
and measures to be taken.

The Myovision surface electromyography
provides us with exceptional data to assist in determining
areas of the nervous system that are being adversely
affected by areas of spinal misalignment.
How is this procedure done?
A surface electromyography is similar to an ECG, which
measures the activity of your heart muscle. Myovision
is a non-invasive, non-painful procedure that involves
placing small probes against the skin in order to
pick up the electrical current. Guests feel nothing
at all. This painless procedure allows us to further
assess and diagnose the severity of your condition
as well as help monitor your progress while under
our care.
Is it Painful?
Not at all. The procedure is totally non-invasive
and does not cause irritation or pain. Because of
this it is safe to use on infants, children, seniors,
and pregnant women. The examination requires only
the placement of small probes against the skin and
only takes a few minutes to complete.
What about the reports?
• Known for clear, clean graphics and simple
to understand reports, allows guests to quickly get
the point.
• Allows you to quickly assess the muscle-tension
state of the guest, without requiring exercise or
strenuous activity which may be harmful. |
